A Safe Space for Individuals to be Heard & Accepted
Holleigh is a Licensed Professional Counselor specialized in treating adults dealing with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and trauma. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Alabama Huntsville with her Master of Science in Community and Agency Counseling from Jacksonville State University.
Holleigh’s goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where an individual can explore their own thoughts and feelings, gain insight into behaviors, and develop coping strategies to better manage life's challenges. She uses a collaborative approach with each person, drawing from many evidence-based practices while respecting the innate expertise one has within themselves.
Holleigh takes a multimodal approach to counseling, incorporating both cognitive work and body-based therapies. She often functions from a person-centered framework, believing in the untapped resiliency and empowering clients through their own strengths. Holleigh has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is a powerful and effective treatment for trauma and other distressing life experiences. She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), which is a non-pharmacological approach to treating insomnia and improving sleep quality.
Outside of the counseling office, Holleigh enjoys time with her family and friends, spending as much time outdoors as possible.
